Strength Training In South London

 Hi, my name is Manny. I am based at the award winning Commando Temple in South East London and I want to help you become the strongest and fittest version of yourself. Strength can mean a lot of different things - whether you want to hit that triple body-weight dead lift or just to be able to lift up your grandchildren, I will show you the path to reaching that goal. Youl just need to show up and put in the hard work!


After years of self defence, martial arts and boxing training I started lifting weights at the ripe old age of 52. All that time dealing with kicks, punches and joint locks had landed me with a few niggling injuries and movement restrictions, but one by one I overcame these and have reached a level of strength and mobility I never imagined possible. I’ve even competed in a few Strongman competitions and pulled a double-decker bus for charity!


At last I decided  to make a career out of this thing that I am so passionate about so I took early retirement from the Civil Service, where I had worked since the late 1980s. I am now ready to share the benefits of strength training with you. These include:


  1. Increased bone density and lessened risk of osteoporosis, particularly important for older clients.
  2. Increased muscle size and strength. We all lose muscle mass as we age, which can lead to poor posture and increased joint pain, strength training can arrest and reverse this process.
  3. Improved sleep and decreased stress/cortisol levels.
  4. All round better quality of life
